UTM SAFETY STATEMENT
UTM believes it provides the world's safest Training Munitions System. UTM acknowledge the fact that safety is the most important aspect of weapons handling and all firearms training. Over and above the designed mechanical safety features integral to the UTM conversion kits/adapters and ammunition, Normal Safety Precautions (NSP’s) must be well thought out and user / agency specific. UTM firmly believes that training and safety is a mind-set and that weapon safety is everyone's responsibility.
UTM wish to draw the attention of the procuring authority to the need of operators, instructors and any other personnel within the training site to be adequately protected during any training exercise utilizing UTM training munitions; namely UTM's Silent Blanks, UTM's Battlefield Blanks, UTM Man-Marker Rounds (MMR's) or UTM's Lethal, for targets only, Target Bullet Rounds (TBR's).
UTM Man Marker Rounds (MMR)
UTM consider for safety reasons that when training with UTM Man-Marking Rounds (MMR) that it is mandatory for operators, safety officials, instructors and and all bystanders to wear approved face mask and goggles as well as a requirement to cover all exposed skin with at least two full layers of loose clothing. UTM recommends for safety reasons when UTM Force-on-Force exercises are being conducted that appropriate protective gloves are also worn. UTM further recommends when Force-on-Force exercises are being conducted that groin protection is considered for extra protection. |

UTM Target Bullet Rounds (TBR)
Never use UTM's Lethal Target Bullet Round on anything except targets. UTM TBR is designed for target practice on decision making paper targets or hard cardboard targets. TBR's are lethal and are not designed to be fired at humans. Never fire UTM TBR's at people. |

UTM's patented technology is designed for serious trainers and training. Improper use of UTM's munitions can cause injury, loss, damage or death. The same seriousness and precautions required of live ammunition and duty weapons handling should be required and performed.
UTM munitions should only be used in well maintained, properly functioning weapons and their magazines. Always keep the barrel free of any obstructions. Always Check Twice!!
SPECIAL NOTE: UTM Silent Blanks, Battlefield Blanks and UTM Man-Marker Rounds (MMR) are Non-Lethal Training Ammunition (NLTA). UTM's Target Bullet Round (TBR) is LETHAL, and therefore not for use of shooting people.
As with any ammunition, UTM advises to keep all of our training munitions out of the reach of children. We would further encourage keeping ammunition stored separate from weapons under lock.
Only use UTM conversion kits when firing UTM training ammunitions.
